Who is Fatima Al-Zahraa?
Fatima Al-Zahraa (605-632 CE)
- Fatima Al-Zahraa was the youngest daughter of the Prophet Muhammad and his first wife, Khadija bint Khuwaylid.
- She was born in Mecca shortly before the Prophet Muhammad's mission as a prophet began.
- Fatima Al-Zahraa was highly regarded for her piety, wisdom, and devotion. She is widely considered to be the foremost woman of Islam and is held in great reverence by Muslims.
- Fatima was married to Ali, the fourth caliph of Islam and the first Imam in Shia Islam. They had two sons, Al-Hasan and Al-Husayn, who are considered to be the grandsons of the Prophet Muhammad and are highly revered by Muslims.
- Fatima Al-Zahraa played an important role in the early history of Islam and was a vocal advocate for the rights of women and children.
