How to Make a Strawberry Martini (5 Steps)
If you enjoy the taste of a good martini, you might like this new twist on an old favorite. Strawberries add a sweet flavor to the old favorite, and give it a lovely reddish hue. Strawberry martinis are a refreshing summertime drink.
Things You'll Need
- Sugar
- Fresh, ripe strawberries
- Strawberry syrup
- Strawberry vodka
- Martini glasses
- Wooden spoon
- Shaker
- Ice
Instructions
-
Chill the martini glasses by putting them in the freezer. If you prefer, you can also rim them with sugar. To rim a glass for strawberry martinis, slice a very ripe strawberry and rub it around the rim of the martini glass. The rim of the glass should be barely coated with strawberry juice. Dip the glass in a bowl of sugar.
-
Put a few fresh strawberries in a shaker, and mash them with a wooden spoon.
-
Put some ice in the shaker and pour in the desired amount of strawberry vodka, a squirt of strawberry syrup and about a teaspoon of sugar, depending on the level of sweetness you prefer.
-
Shake the strawberry martini until it's well mixed, about 20 seconds.
-
Pour the strawberry martini into the prepared glasses, garnish each glass with a fresh strawberry, and serve.
