Classic Martinis

• For a dirty martini, shake together 2 oz. gin, 1 tbsp. dry vermouth, 2 tbsp. olive juice and serve with an olive.

  Dry martinis are the same as a dirty martini, minus the olive juice.

  To make a vodka martini, mix 1 1/2 oz. vodka with 3/4 oz. dry vermouth.

  French martinis have a fruity twist, made with 1 1/2 oz. vodka, 1/4 oz. raspberry liqueur, 1/4 oz. pineapple juice and a twist of lemon peel.

Fruity Martinis

• Melon martini is made by mixing together 1 1/2 oz.vodka, 1/2 cup chopped melon, 1 oz. honey syrup, 1 oz. maraschino liqueur and 1 oz. fresh lime juice.

  For a pear martini, shake together 2 oz. vodka and 1 oz. pear liqueur.

  A strawberry martini contains 1 1/2 - 2 ounces of gin, 1 teaspoon of dry vermouth, 1 teaspoon of grenadine syrup and 1 teaspoon of sugar, served over chopped strawberries.

  Bellini martini is a popular fruity twist on the classic martini, made with 2 ounces of vodka, 1 ounce of peach nectar, 1 ounce of peach schnapps and a twist of lemon peel.

  Sour apple martini is a fruity martini with a kick. Mix together 2 oounces of citrus vodka, 1/2 ounce of sour apple schnapps, 1/2 ounce of orange liqueur and 3/4 ounce of fresh lemon juice.

Other Martinis

• Mint martinis offer a simple, sophisticated twist on a classic cocktail. Shake together 2 oz. gin, 1 oz. white creme de menthe and 3 mint leaves.

  A mocha martini is made with 2 1/2 oz. vodka,1/2 oz. coffee liqueur and 1 oz. creme de cacao.

  For a cosmopolitan martini, mix 1 oz. vodka, 1/2 oz. orange liqueur, the juice of 1/2 a lime and a splash of cranberry juice.

  For the sweet tooth, make a Caribbean martini by mixing 2 oz. amaretto almond liqueur with 2 oz. Malibu coconut rum.
