California requires a distance of at least 45 feet from property of any school, church, public playground or other public place in the case of an on sale general alcoholic beverage license, and 600 feet in the case of an on sale general license for beer or wine only, or a club license, or caterer’s permit with a beer or wine option, or a caterer’s permit with a beer, wine and distilled spirits option.
