There is no accurate count of oranges in existence worldwide, as they are constantly being grown, harvested, and consumed. However, according to the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), global orange production in 2021 was estimated to be around 79 million metric tonnes (or around 174 billion pounds). Brazil is the largest producer of oranges, accounting for around 26.5% of total world production.
