How to Make Vodka Slushy Drinks Easily
Entertaining impromptu guests with a vodka slushy drink can be a fun treat on a hot summer night. All you need is some vodka, ice, and other ingredients you likely already have in the kitchen. Mix up a large batch of an easy vodka slush drink and store it in the freezer for the summer. When guests arrive, simply scrape out a glassful for each guest and offer a treat that may have otherwise taken hours to prepare.
Things You'll Need
- Large pot
- Stirring spoon
- White sugar
- 2 tsp. powered instant tea
- Can of frozen orange juice concentrate
- Can of frozen lemonade juice concentrate
- Can of frozen grapefruit juice concentrate
- Plastic Tupperware container with lid
- Vodka
- Lemon-lime soda
- Clean, empty 1/2 gallon container
- 4 cups cranberry juice
- 2 cups of pulp-free orange juice
- 1/4 cup lime juice
- Clamp
- 2 oranges
- 2 lemons
- 48 oz. pineapple juice
Citrus Vodka Slush

Combine 7 cups of water with 2 cups of white sugar in a large pot. Boil until the sugar dissolves. Remove syrup from heat. Stir in 2 tsp. of powered instant tea. Add one can of frozen orange juice concentrate and one can of frozen lemonade concentrate. Add 2 cups of cold water.

Allow liquid to cool. Add 2 cups of your favorite vodka. Pour into a plastic container with a lid. Cover and place in the freezer for at least eight hours.

Scrape out one cup of icy mixture for each serving. Add 1/3 cup of lemon-lime soda. Stir and serve.
Cranberry-Citrus Slush

Wash and dry a 1/2 gallon cardboard container. Pour in 4 cups of cranberry juice. Add 2 cups of pulp-free orange juice. Add 1 1/4 cup of vodka. Add 1/4 cup of lime juice. Add 1/4 cup orange-flavored liqueur.

Seal the container well with a clamp or strong tape. Place the container in the freezer for at least eight hours.

Allow time for the mixture to semi-thaw. Optionally, place the container in a picnic cooler to keep the food cool and slowly thaw. Shake the container before serving. Pour slush into cups and serve.
Fresh-Squeezed Vodka Slushy

Make a simple syrup by boiling 8 cups of water and 3 cups of white sugar for 15 minutes. Allow 1/2 hour to cool. Squeeze two oranges and two lemons. Add juice to syrup. Pour in 48 oz. of pineapple juice, one can of grapefruit juice concentrate and one can of lemonade concentrate. Add a 26-oz. bottle of vodka.

Pour drink mixture into a plastic Tupperware container. Seal with a lid. Freeze for at least eight hours.

Scrape half a glass of frozen slush. Add half a glass of lemon-lime soda. Stir and serve. Optionally, add a festive adornment to the drink.
