Can you get food poisoning from pecan pie that has been refrigerated?
Pecans can contain Salmonella, a bacterium that can cause food poisoning. If the pecans used in the pie were contaminated with Salmonella, and the pie was not baked to a high enough temperature to kill the bacteria, then it is possible that the pie could cause food poisoning even after being refrigerated.
