When was pizza first made?

Pizza's origins can be traced back to ancient Greece, dating back to the 6th century B.C. when flatbreads were covered with different toppings. However, the modern-day pizza as we know it today originated in Naples, Italy in the 18th century. In 1889, pizza was introduced to the United States by Italian immigrants.
