How do you use a Foley cookie dropper?
Steps to Use a Foley Cookie Dropper
1. Prepare your cookie dough.
- Ensure your dough is at the right consistency for pressing through a cookie dropper.
- If the dough is too soft, it will spread out too much on the baking sheet.
- If the dough is too stiff, it will be difficult to press through the dropper.
2. Fit the cookie dropper with the desired tip.
- Most Foley cookie droppers come with a variety of tips, each creating different shapes.
- Choose the tip that you want to use for your cookies, and screw it onto the barrel of the cookie dropper.
3. Fill the cookie dropper with dough.
- Open the plunger at the bottom of the cookie dropper, and fill the barrel with cookie dough.
- Be sure not to overfill the cookie dropper, as this will make it difficult to press out the dough.
4. Press down on the plunger to drop the cookies onto a greased cookie sheet.
- Place the cookie sheet on a flat surface, and hold the cookie dropper directly over it.
- Press down on the plunger slowly and evenly, and the cookie dough will be forced out of the tip and onto the cookie sheet.
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 until all of the cookie dough has been used.
- Be sure to leave enough space between the cookies on the cookie sheet so they don't spread out and touch each other.
6. Bake the cookies according to the recipe instructions.
- Bake the cookies on the middle rack in your preheated oven until they are done, following the recipe instructions.
- The baking time will vary depending on the size and type of cookies you are making.
7. Let the cookies cool on the cookie sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a cooling rack.
- This will help the cookies to keep their shape.
8. Enjoy!
- Your cookies are now ready to be eaten.
