How do you soften marshmallows?
Microwave
Place the marshmallows in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave on high for 10 seconds at a time, stirring in between. It may take 30 seconds to 1 minute to soften them completely.
Stovetop
Place the marshmallows in a heat-resistant bowl set over a saucepan of simmering water. Stir constantly until the marshmallows are melted.
Oven
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees F (93 degrees C). Place the marshmallows on a baking sheet and heat for 5-10 minutes, or until they are softened.
Tips:
- To prevent the marshmallows from sticking, grease the bowl or baking sheet with cooking spray.
- If you are using a microwave, be careful not to overheat the marshmallows, as they can easily catch on fire.
- If you are using the stovetop, be careful not to let the water come into contact with the marshmallows, as this will make them sticky.
