How are hash browns made?

Ingredients:

- 3 large russet potatoes, peeled and cubed

- 1/4 cup chopped onion

- 1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper

- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

- 1/2 teaspoon salt

- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions:

1. In a large bowl, combine the potatoes, onion, and green bell pepper. Drizzle with the vegetable oil and toss to coat. Season with the salt and pepper.

2. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the potato mixture and cook, stirring occasionally, until the potatoes are browned and crispy on all sides.

3. Serve the hash browns immediately.

Tips:

- To make ahead, cook the hash browns according to the instructions and then let cool completely. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, place the hash browns in a skillet over medium heat and cook until heated through.

- If you don't have time to cook the potatoes, you can use frozen hash browns. Simply follow the package instructions for cooking.
