How to Get Colored Sugar to Stick to Sugar Cookies
Sugar cookies are a delightfully simple treat. The pale color and flat surface of sugar cookies provide the perfect blank slate for decorating. Even if you're not a creative genius, you can add a bit of flair to cookies by using a simple colored sugar. Adhering the sugar to the cookies requires a few extra steps, but the brightly colored finished product is well worth the effort. You can add the sugar either before or after you bake the cookies, depending on your preference. Sugar added before the cookies are baked will produce more muted tones, while sugar added afterwards will retain its bright color.
