How much vanilla is needed for cheesecake?

If using vanilla bean:

- Split 1 vanilla bean in half lengthwise and scrape the seeds out with the tip of a knife. Alternatively, you can use a vanilla bean paste and add it to your cheesecake batter the same way as you would with vanilla extract.
