Can you use lime instead of lemon to make cheesecake?
While lime can technically be used as a substitute for lemon in some recipes, it is not typically used in place of lemon in cheesecake. Lemons are the traditional citrus fruit used in cheesecake because of their bright, tart flavor that complements the sweet and creamy filling. Limes, with their more acidic flavor, can create an imbalance in the sweetness of the cheesecake. While you could use lime in a cheesecake, the flavor profile of the final dessert would be quite different from a traditional cheesecake.
