How to Add Flavor to White Chocolate
Many different and delicious flavors can be added to chocolate. It's quite easy to do and can make your candy recipe stand out from others. Adding flavors that are oil-based will prevent your chocolate from clumping and becoming gritty. These oil-based flavorings (also called candy flavorings) can be found in cooking stores and craft stores, and they come in a wide variety of flavors.
Things You'll Need
- White chocolate chips
- Oil based flavoring (any flavor)
Instructions
-
If you buy chocolate chips, there should be directions on the bag on how to melt them. Generally, you can melt the chocolate in the microwave. Add the chips to a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 15-second increments, stirring every 15 seconds until smooth.
-
Add a small amount of the oil-based flavoring and stir. Be sure to taste before adding more flavoring.
-
Pour the candy into molds. If making bark, spread onto a cooking sheet. Put into the refrigerator to cool.
