How to Make Peanut Butter Filling (3 Steps)

Ever wonder how to get that creamy filling found inside chocolate peanut butter cups or peanut butter cookies? Perhaps you have a special occasion or holiday meal to prepare. Cupcakes or tortes are easily enhanced with sweetened, creamy peanut butter filling, using only three ingredients. The trick for filling already-baked goods is not a secret.

Things You'll Need

  • 3 tblsp. unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 2/3 cup confectioners' sugar
  • Electric beaters
  • Medium bowl
  • Mixing spoon
  • Pastry bag

Instructions

  1. Beat the peanut butter and butter together in a medium bowl with electric beaters until the mix is creamy.

  2. Add the confectioners' sugar to the peanut butter mix slowly so that it doesn't spatter outside the bowl. Beat until the mixture is fluffy. This should take about 2 minutes.

  3. Use the mixture as a filling for baked goods, like cupcakes or muffins. Insert the filling into a pastry bag. Push the tip of the bag about three-quarters of the way into a cupcake and squeeze the bag gently. Remove any excess filling off the top of the cupcake.
