How to Get Melted Caramel Off a Pot (3 Steps)
Creating homemade caramel is a fun and exciting activity, especially for kids. Caramel can be made into chewy candies or a sauce that can make desserts like ice cream all the sweeter. Cleaning melted, caramelized sugar off a pan, however, can be difficult and tiring. Knowing how to do this quickly and easily will make this activity a lot more fun.
Things You'll Need
- Hot water
- Stove
Instructions
-
Fill the pot with warm water until all of the melted caramel is completely submerged.
-
Place the pot on the stove and turn on the heat until the water is nearly boiling and leave it for 10 minutes. The caramel will melt off the sides of the pan and into the water.
-
Turn off the stove and dispose of the water. If there is any remaining caramel on the pan, repeat the process or try to scrub it off while it is still warm.
