Is a culinary herb and medicinal the same?
Not necessarily. While some culinary herbs may have medicinal properties, they are not one and the same. Culinary herbs are primarily used to enhance the flavor of food, whereas medicinal herbs are used for their therapeutic properties. Many culinary herbs such as basil, thyme, and rosemary have medicinal uses, but not all culinary herbs are medicinal, and conversely, not all medicinal herbs are culinary.
