Who invented the grow bag?

There's no clear consensus on who invented the grow bag, as there were several people and companies involved in the development and popularisation of the product. However, in the UK, the most commonly credited person for inventing the grow bag is Peter Edwards, who created "Easygrow" a type of grow bag still widely used today. Edwards first had the idea for a reusable container for plants around 1960, and went on to patent the design in 1961.
