What is the white film on kale?
Kale leaves can sometimes develop a thin white film or spots. This film is composed of calcium carbonate, which is a harmless mineral that is deposited on the leaves as a result of water evaporation. It does not affect the edibility or quality of the kale, and it can be easily removed by rinsing the leaves under water.
