How do you strip silver plate silverware?
Materials needed:
* Aluminum foil
* Baking soda
* Hot water
* Rubber gloves
* Eye protection
Instructions:
1. Put on your rubber gloves and eye protection.
2. Line a sink or large container with aluminum foil, shiny side up.
3. Place the silver plate silverware on the aluminum foil.
4. Sprinkle baking soda over the silverware.
5. Pour hot water over the silverware until it is completely covered.
6. Let the silverware sit in the water for at least 20 minutes.
7. Remove the silverware from the water and rinse it well.
8. Buff the silverware with a soft cloth to remove any remaining tarnish.
Tips:
* If the silver plate is heavily tarnished, you may need to repeat the process.
* Be careful not to let the silverware sit in the water for too long, as this can damage the silver.
* If you do not have aluminum foil, you can also use a stainless steel sink or container.
