Directions for a Presto FlipSide Waffle Maker
The Presto FlipSide Belgian Waffle Maker makes professional-style, extra-thick, fluffy waffles in just a few minutes. The iron flips 180 degrees to spread the waffle batter evenly across the grids and ensure even crisping on both sides of the waffle. The Presto FlipSide Waffle Maker also has a digital display timer that alerts you when your waffle is thoroughly cooked and ready to eat.
Things You'll Need
- Waffle batter
- Measuring cup
- Cooking oil
- Paper towel or brush
Instructions
-
Place the Presto FlipSide Belgian Waffle Maker on a flat surface, positioning the digital display towards you. Plug the AC cord into a power outlet and preheat the waffle maker in the closed position. The signal light will glow while the unit is preheating. It will take about 3 to 5 minutes for the waffle grids to preheat.
-
Prepare waffle batter in a bowl while the waffle iron is preheating.
-
Open the waffle iron carefully by the handle when the unit is done preheating. The signal light will go out when the grids are hot enough to cook your waffles.
-
Apply a light coat of cooking oil to the waffle grids. Spread the oil evenly over the grids with a brush or paper towel. Oil is not needed after every use and should be reapplied only as necessary.
-
Pour 3/4 to 1 cup of waffle batter into the center of the bottom waffle grid.
-
Set the timer on the digital display to your desired cooking time by pressing the minutes and seconds buttons. Recommended cooking times vary for different waffle recipes, but most waffles will take about 4 minutes to cook.
-
Close the waffle grids together. Grasp both the top and bottom handles and flip the unit over 180 degrees.
-
Cook the waffle for the set amount of time. The waffle maker will beep when the timer has expired. Carefully pull the waffle grids apart and check that your waffle is cooked through. Remove the waffle from the grids with a fork.
