CUTCO Cutlery Cleaning

Cutco cutlery is rust, stain and corrosion resistant and can last for decades if properly cared for. Although the cutlery is labeled as dishwasher safe, Cutco does not advise regularly washing the cutlery in the dishwasher. Regular machine washing can result in damage to the cutlery. Hand washing is recommended.

Things You'll Need

  • Mild dish soap
  • Polish
  • Sponge
  • Dish towel

Instructions

  1. Place dirty Cutco cutlery in an empty sink. Do not submerge cutlery in water as it may cause mineral build-up and staining.

  2. Polish stains from the metal parts of the cutlery with a metal polish. Apply polish with a damp sponge, wipe on to the metal and wipe off stains before proceeding with normal cleaning. Skip this step if the metal part of your cutlery is just dirty, not stained.

  3. Remove stains and discoloration from the handles of your cutlery if necessary. Cutco recommends using a mild abrasive cleanser like Soft Scrub. Wipe on to handles gently, scrub and wipe off before proceeding with normal cleaning.

  4. Scrub each piece of cutlery with a soap sponge, under hot water.

  5. Rinse each piece of cutlery in cold water after it is completely clean.

  6. Dry each piece of cutlery completely with a clean, soft dish towel. Do this immediately after rinsing to prevent water spots.
