How to Fry Chicken in a Deep Fryer
You can make delicious fried chicken in a deep fryer that tastes even better than that fast food chicken place.
Things You'll Need
- Deep fryer
- Cooking oil
- Chicken parts, preferably wings, legs, breasts or thighs
- Flour
- Seasoning, either, salt, pepper or some other seasoning salt
- Large bowl
- Paper towels
- Plastic grocery bag
Instructions
-
Plug in deep fryer into an easily accessible outlet in the kitchen. Pour the cooking oil into the deep fryer until it reaches the perforated line. Do not overfill. Allow the deep fryer and oil to get hot.
-
Meanwhile, place the chicken in the sink and rinse it off with cold water to clean it. Sprinkle each piece of chicken with whatever seasoning you have chosen.
-
Pour flour into the plastic grocery bag. Place one or two pieces of chicken into the bag and shake the bag to coat the chicken with flour.
-
Place one or two pieces of chicken into the oil once you are sure it is hot. Let the chicken fry for five to eight minutes or until it has reached the desired color that you would like. Once it is done, carefully take the chicken out of the deep fryer and place it in the bowl on top of a few paper towels to drain some of the oil.
-
Repeat until all the chicken is cooked. Let cool and serve.
