Who invented cooking?

There's no single inventor of cooking! It's a practice that developed gradually over thousands of years, likely starting with early humans controlling fire.

Here's how we believe it happened:

* Early humans discovered fire: Around 1.5 million years ago, early humans learned to control fire. This allowed them to cook meat, making it safer and easier to digest.

* Early cooking methods: Primitive methods like roasting on hot coals and boiling in water containers emerged.

* Development of tools: Over time, humans developed tools like cooking pots and utensils, leading to more sophisticated methods like stewing, baking, and frying.

So, while there's no "inventor," early humans' ability to control fire and their drive to explore food preparation were key to the development of cooking.
