How long do you boil frankfuters?
The boiling time for frankfurters depends on their size and how you want to cook them:
For fully cooked frankfurters:
* From cold: 5-7 minutes
* From room temperature: 3-5 minutes
For partially cooked frankfurters:
* From cold: 10-12 minutes
* From room temperature: 8-10 minutes
Tips:
* Don't overcook: Overcooked frankfurters become tough and rubbery.
* Use a meat thermometer: Insert the thermometer into the thickest part of a frankfurter. It should reach an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).
* Don't overcrowd the pot: Make sure there is enough space for the water to circulate and cook the frankfurters evenly.
Important note: Always follow the instructions on the package of your frankfurters.
