Can corning ware etch be used on top of stove?
It is not recommended to use CorningWare with etched designs on top of the stove.
Here's why:
* Heat damage: Etched designs can trap heat, potentially causing the glass to crack or break.
* Uneven heating: The etched areas might heat up faster than the rest of the dish, leading to inconsistent cooking and potentially damaging the food.
* Loss of aesthetics: The etching could fade or become discolored with repeated use on the stovetop.
CorningWare is generally designed for oven use, not stovetop cooking. If you want to cook on the stovetop, consider using a different type of cookware, such as cast iron or stainless steel.
While some CorningWare pieces may be labeled as "stovetop safe," these typically do not have etched designs. It's always best to check the manufacturer's instructions and warnings for specific care and usage guidelines.
