Can you pour cooking oil on the ground?
It depends.
For small quantities - it's usually okay on private property with some exceptions (depending on location and exact law wording it applies to), but always bad on any sort of public/commercial territory or a road.
For large quantities - even on your lot you're going to be legally obligated with cleaning all the environmental damage created (and the fines can be huge even after cleaning due to ecological harm it might've created).
