How do you get rid of fire in frying pan?
If a frying pan catches fire, here is what you should do:
1. Immediately turn off the heat source: Swiftly turn off the burner or stove that is fueling the fire. This cuts off the supply of heat and oxygen, which are essential for the fire to continue.
2. Smother the fire with a fire blanket or damp towel: If you have a fire blanket, cover the pan completely to smother the flames. Alternatively, you can use a damp dishcloth or kitchen towel. Be careful not to use too much water, as it can spread the grease and make the fire worse.
3. Never throw water on a grease fire: Water can cause the grease to splatter, spreading the fire and making it more dangerous.
4. Avoid using baking soda or flour to extinguish the fire: These substances can react with the grease and cause an explosion.
5. Back away from the pan and call for help if necessary: If you are unable to extinguish the fire, leave the area and call 911. Do not attempt to move the pan while it is on fire.
6. Once the fire is out, let the pan cool down completely: Do not touch the pan until it is fully cooled. This will prevent any further injuries.
7. Clean the pan thoroughly: Once the pan has cooled, wash it with dish soap and water to remove any residual grease or burnt material.
Remember that fire safety is of the utmost importance. If you are ever unsure about how to handle a fire, evacuate the area and call emergency services immediately.
