How to Make a Quick Apple Turnover (8 Steps)
Make the perfect apple pie in the perfect individual serving -- a turnover. This version comes together quickly when you start with a packaged crust but keeps the tempting taste of a homemade filling. For extra decadence, serve warm with vanilla or cinnamon ice cream.
Things You'll Need
- Pastry sheet
- 2 Fuji apples
- Fine sugar
- Brown sugar
- Caramel
- Cinnamon
- Milk
- Large-grain sugar
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 400 F. Cut the pastry sheet into 4 equal squares.

Peel, core and dice the apples.

Mix the apples, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, 2 tablespoons white sugar, 1/2 tablespoon brown sugar and 1/2 tablespoon caramel.

Spoon a quarter of the mix into the center of each pastry sheet.

Fold all of the corners into the middle or fold the sheets in half diagonally to make triangle-shaped pouches.

Seal the edges of the pastry with a little milk.

Sprinkle the large-grain sugar and a dash of cinnamon on the outsides of each pastry.

Bake until golden brown, about 10 to 15 minutes.
