How to Refrigerate Cinnamon Rolls Overnight (3 Steps)
True cinnamon rolls are made from yeast, an ingredient that makes the dough rise. It takes time to allow the rolls to swell to the proper size. After you've had the dough rise, rolled it and filled it with cinnamon, you should refrigerate the dessert overnight. This overnight process will keep the dough from rising any further and give a chance for the aromatic cinnamon to permeate the inside of the pastry. You'll need plenty of time to make your rolls but preparing them for refrigeration is a cinch.
Things You'll Need
- 1 tsp. butter
- Paper towel
- Glass baking dish
- Plastic wrap
Instructions
-
Dab a paper towel in butter, scooping up 1 tsp. on the paper. Rub the butter onto the interior of a glass baking dish, covering the entire sides and bottom of the dish.
-
Cut the tube of rolls you have prepared with a serrated knife. Place the rolls cut side facing down into the pan. The rolls should fit snugly but should not overcrowd the pan.
-
Cover the pan of rolls with plastic wrap. Place them in the refrigerator overnight. Remove them the next day.
