Should you hit the cake batter on counter before baking?
It is not recommended to hit the cake batter on the counter before baking. Hitting the batter may cause air pockets to collapse, resulting in a denser and less risen cake. Instead, it is better to gently tap or shake the pan to remove any large air bubbles.
