How much time does it take to make chocolate chip cookies?
Total time: 20 minutes
---
Ingredients:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened at room temperature
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
1. Prepare the oven. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Mix the dry ingredients. Whisk together the flour, baking soda and salt in a medium bowl.
3. Cream the butter and sugars. In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, beat the butter and granulated sugar together on medium speed until light and fluffy, about 2 minutes. Add the brown sugar and vanilla and beat until combined, about 1 minute more.
4. Add the eggs. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
5. Add the dry ingredients. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and beat on low speed just until combined, about 30 seconds. Do not overmix.
6. Add the chocolate chips. Stir in the chocolate chips with a wooden spoon.
7. Drop the dough onto the prepared baking sheet. Use a tablespoon to drop the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing the cookies about 2 inches apart.
8. Bake the cookies. Bake the cookies in the preheated oven until the edges are golden brown and the centers are set, about 10-12 minutes.
9. Let cool. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Enjoy!
