How do you make aloe vera butter?
To make aloe vera butter, you'll need:
*Fresh aloe vera leaves (about 2-3 leaves)
Shea butter (about 2 tablespoons)
*Coconut oil (about 1 tablespoon)
Vitamin E oil (about 1 teaspoon)
Essential oil (optional, for scent)
Instructions:
1. Harvest the aloe vera leaves. Remove the outer spiny layer of the aloe vera leaves and scrape the gel using a spoon.
2. Blend the aloe vera gel until it's smooth. You can do this using a high-speed blender or food processor.
3. In a mixing bowl, combine shea butter, coconut oil, and aloe vera gel.
4. Using a hand mixer or stand mixer, beat the mixture until it's light and fluffy.
5. Add essential oil (optional). If desired, add essential oils to add a scent to your butter. Popular choices include lavender, orange, and peppermint.
6. Transfer the aloe vera butter to a clean glass jar or container and refrigerate it until firm.
7. Use it directly on your skin, hair, nails, as a lip balm, or as a soothing cream aftersun.
