How do you make brown sugar at home?
Ingredients
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon molasses
Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F.
2. Take a medium bowl, and mix in the granulated sugar and molasses.
3. Spread out the moist sugar mixture on a parchment paper-lined baking tray.
4. Bake for 5-7 minutes, stirring once or twice during the baking process. Ensure that the sugar does not burn.
5. Once it has taken on a light brown color, remove from the oven and let cool completely.
6. Once cooled, break up any clumps to achieve the desired consistency.
7. Store the brown sugar in an airtight container at room temperature.
