How to make good Instant Quaker Oatmeal (3 Steps)
Making good instant Quaker Oatmeal requires only a little bit of kitchen creativity. A plain bowl of original-flavored instant Quaker Oatmeal, prepared without any trimmings, leaves much room for elaboration. There are countless ways to spice up a hot bowl of instant Quaker Oatmeal, and you don't have to be a seasoned chef to do so. You need only a few additional fixings, and an idea in mind. This recipe can be a springboard into your own original variation on the theme.
Things You'll Need
- 1/2 cup instant Quaker Oatmeal
- Bowl
- 1/2 cup boiling milk
- 1 to 2 tbsp. honey
- Kitchen knife
- 3 strawberries
- 1/2 banana
- 1 heaping spoonful whipped cream
- 1 small handful chocolate chips
Instructions
-
Put 1/2 cup instant Quaker Oatmeal into a bowl. Add 1/2 cup boiling milk, and stir contents together until thoroughly mixed. Sprinkle about 1 or 2 tbsp. honey into the oatmeal mix and stir. This sweetens the oatmeal's otherwise plain, original flavor.
-
Cut up three strawberries and 1/2 a banana into small, thin slices. Place the freshly cut fruit slices in the oatmeal mix and stir, evenly dispersing them in the mix.
-
Place a generously heaping spoonful of whipped cream in the center of the bowl, and drop a small handful of chocolate chips on top. Stir together for a strawberry-banana-chocolate and cream instant Quaker Oatmeal breakfast.
