Perfect Way to Toast Waffles
Slathered in butter and dripping with maple syrup is one of many ways people enjoy eating waffles. Perfect for a leisurely weekend breakfast or a quick afternoon snack, hot waffles fill up stomachs and satisfy the need for comfort food like Mom used to make. Whether you have whipped together a homemade batch or bought a frozen package, waffles can be toasted to perfection for a crispy outside and tender, moist inside. Make use of your kitchen appliances to heat up and toast waffles to your liking.
Things You'll Need
- Toaster oven
- Baking sheet
- Plastic bag or container with lid
- Wax paper
Toaster Method
-
Remove 1 to 2 waffles from their packaging or container. Waffles should be able to easily fit within the slots of a toaster.
-
Place a waffle into the slot of a toaster.
-
Place the setting on medium-high, and toast the waffle until it is golden brown, about 60 to 90 seconds. Frozen waffles may take up to 1 1/2 minutes to completely heat the inside. Serve immediately.
Oven Method
-
Heat an oven to 350 degrees F.
-
Place waffles on a baking sheet in a single layer.
-
Toast the waffles in the oven about 12 minutes. Flip the waffles over with a spatula halfway through to toast both sides evenly. Serve with syrup, jam, peanut butter or other condiments.
