How long can egg whites out of the shell remain at room temp?
It is not recommended to leave egg whites out of the shell at room temperature for any amount of time. Egg whites are highly susceptible to bacterial contamination, and leaving them out at room temperature can allow bacteria to grow and multiply, potentially making them unsafe to consume.
For food safety, it is best to store egg whites in an airtight container in the refrigerator and use them within a few days. If you do not plan to use them within a few days, you can also freeze egg whites for up to a year.
