What soil does mangoes need?
Mango trees require well-draining, deep soil with a pH of 5.5 to 7.0. The soil should be rich in organic matter and nutrients, and it should be able to retain moisture without becoming waterlogged. Sandy loam or clay loam soils are ideal for mangoes, but the trees can also be grown in other types of soil if the soil is amended to improve drainage and fertility.
