How do you pickle garlic?
To pickle garlic you will need:
Ingredients
* 1 pound (about 12 cloves) garlic, peeled
* 2 cups white vinegar
* 1 cup water
* 1/2 cup sugar
* 1 tablespoon pickling salt
* 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
* 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
* 1 bay leaf
Instructions
1. Peel the garlic cloves. Leave them whole.
2. In a medium saucepan, combine the vinegar, water, sugar, salt, mustard seeds, red pepper, and bay leaf.
3. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally to dissolve the sugar and salt.
4. Pour the hot pickling liquid over the garlic cloves in a glass or ceramic container.
5. Cover the container and let it cool to room temperature.
6. Refrigerate the pickles for at least 24 hours before eating.

* To ensure crunchy garlic pickle choose firm, unblemished garlic bulbs without any sprouts.
* If you want to make a spicy, add more red pepper flakes.
* If you want a sweeter pickle add more sugar.
