What does the carrot look like?
Carrots (Daucus carota subsp. sativus) are typically orange in color, but can also be found in other colors, including red, purple, yellow, and white. They are a root vegetable that grows in the ground. Carrots have a long, cylindrical shape with a pointed tip. The outer layer of the carrot is tough and protects the edible inner flesh, which is crisp and juicy. Carrots have a sweet and slightly earthy flavor.
