How do you freeze tomatoes after pick them?
To Freeze Tomatoes:
1. Wash and cut out any blemishes from tomatoes.
2. Using a paring knife, cut an "X" shape in the bottom of each tomato.
3. Drop tomatoes into a large pot of boiling water and blanch for 30-60 seconds, or until the skins start cracking.
4. Remove the tomatoes from the pot with a slotted spoon and transfer them to an ice water bath.
5. Let the tomatoes cool completely.
6. Drain and cut tomatoes in halved.
7. Arrange the tomatoes on a lined baking sheet and freeze.
8. Once the tomatoes are frozen, transfer them to a freezer-safe container with enough headspace.
9. Seal the container and store in the freezer.
Tip: To save more freezer space, you can remove the tomato cores and juice before freezing.
