How to cook corn on the cob on the grill
Most people tend to cook corn on the cob by putting removing the husks and placing the corn on the cob in boiling water. While this is a perfectly good way to enjoy this food I prefer to keep the corn in the husks and grill them.
Things You'll Need
- fresh corn on the cob, a grill, water
Instructions
-
Without removing the husks soak the corn on the cob in a bucket or large dish or cold water for 1 hour.
-
Heat a grill to medium heat.
-
Remove the soaked corn from the water and place it on the grill. Do not remove the husks.
-
Monitor the grill and turn the corn every few minutes to keep it from burning. Do not use your hands; the corn will be hot.
-
After you have turned the corn 4 or 5 times and it has been on the grill for a total of approximately 10-12 minutes the husks will be charred but not burnt. Remove the corn at this point and turn off the grill.
-
Carefully remove the husks from the corn. It will be hot some you should use cooking gloves or something similar.
-
Scrape away any remaining bits of husk from the corn, add butter and salt and pepper and enjoy.
