What is a crop chopper?
A crop chopper is an agricultural implement used to cut and shred crop residue, such as stalks, leaves, and stems, after the crop has been harvested. It is typically mounted on the rear of a tractor and consists of a series of blades that rotate at high speed to chop the residue into small pieces. The chopped residue is then spread evenly across the field, where it can help improve soil fertility and prevent erosion. Crop choppers are also used to control pests and diseases that may be present in the crop residue.
