Can you bring food or cookies on carry on?
Food items:
* Most solid food items (such as sandwiches, fruits, vegetables, and snacks) can be brought in carry-on luggage.
* Liquids and gels (including yogurt and hummus) must be in containers that are 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) or less and placed in a clear, plastic, quart-sized bag. Each passenger is allowed one quart-sized bag of liquids and gels.
* Certain liquid items (such as breast milk and formula) may be exempt from the 3.4-ounce limit, but must be declared to security personnel at the checkpoint.
Baked goods (such as cookies):
* Baked goods are generally allowed in carry-on luggage, but may be subject to additional screening.
* Baked goods that contain liquid or gel fillings (such as cream or fruit) must be placed in a clear, plastic, quart-sized bag and meet the 3.4-ounce limit for liquids and gels.
* Certain baked goods (such as those containing alcohol) may be prohibited or restricted.
It's always a good idea to check with your airline or the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) for the latest regulations and restrictions on food and baked goods in carry-on luggage.
