Can you use semi sweet chocolate chips instead of bakers squares?
Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips and Baker’s squares differ mostly in their physical appearances. While both are made with dark chocolate, semi-sweet chocolate chips are small, round, and morsel-sized, while Baker's squares are sold as baking squares.
Using Chocolate chips instead of baking squares may produce different textures of chocolate. Because chocolate chips are designed to retain their round shape even after baking, they may be firmer and less melty compared to baking squares.
However, if you don’t mind the texture difference and are okay with small morsels of chocolate instead of a smooth even layer of chocolate, semi-sweet chocolate chips can serve as a replacement.
