Ingredients:
For the Halibut:
* 4 halibut steaks (6-8 ounces each)
* 1 tablespoon olive oil
* Salt and pepper to taste
For the Lemon Basil Cream Sauce:
* 1/4 cup butter
* 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
* 1 cup heavy cream
* 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
* 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
* 1/4 teaspoon salt
* 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions:
Prepare the Halibut:
1. Season the halibut steaks generously with salt and pepper.
2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
3. Add the halibut steaks to the hot skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
4. Remove the halibut from the skillet and set aside.

5. Remove the sauce from the heat.
Assemble:
1. Return the halibut steaks to the skillet with the sauce.
2. Toss to coat the halibut in the sauce.
3. Serve immediately.
