Does anyone know how to make sauce for a Chicago Style Thin Crust pizza?
Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2 lbs. Roma tomatoes, chopped
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon dried basil
Instructions:
1. In a medium skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook until it is fragrant, about one minute.
2. Add the tomatoes and cook for five minutes, stirring occasionally.
3. Add the sugar, salt, and black pepper and cook for another 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
4. Add the oregano and basil, stirring them into the sauce.
5. Let the simmer for 10-15 minutes until it has thickened to the desired consistency.
