Can you make alfredo sauce with no salt?

Ingredients:

- 2 cups whole milk

- 1/2 cup heavy cream

- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder

- 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg

Directions:

1.) In a medium saucepan, combine milk and heavy cream over medium heat.

2.) Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat to low and let cook, stirring occasionally, for 15 minutes, until reduced by about 1/3.

3.) Remove from heat and stir in Parmesan cheese, butter, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and nutmeg.

4.) Stir until well combined and cheese is melted.

5.) Serve immediately over pasta or your favorite dish.
