Nutty Bars: A No-Bake Treat
This recipe is a classic no-bake nutty bar, perfect for a quick and easy sweet treat.
Yields: About 12 bars

Chill time: 2 hours
Ingredients:
* 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
* 1 cup granulated sugar
* 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
* 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
* 1 cup all-purpose flour
* 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
* 1/2 teaspoon salt
* 1 cup chopped nuts (your choice - peanuts, walnuts, pecans, etc.)
* 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions:
1. Line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
3. Beat in the vanilla extract.
4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
6. Stir in the chopped nuts.
7. Press the mixture evenly into the prepared pan.
8. Top with the chocolate chips.
9. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until firm.
10. Cut into bars and enjoy!
Tips:
* For a fudgier bar, use dark chocolate chips.
* Feel free to add additional ingredients, like shredded coconut, dried fruit, or even a pinch of cayenne pepper for a kick.
* Store leftover bars in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
